This over the counter synthetic drug treats diarrhea, and can be compared to the drug diphenoxylate. It has two main functions to treat the onset, and symptoms of diarrhea. The mechanism of action of the drug is that it discourages the gestation of peristalsis of the patients intestinal wall, or intestinal lining and lowering the levels of secretion. This lowers the hydration level of your lower intestinal tract. Because of its physical components, this drug can have some side effects.
Most of these side effects can be related to dehydration, or related instances. An example of this would be dizziness, dry mouth, tiredness and acne. This
will squeal the developments of excess fluid in the digestive system. This medication has demonstrated some of the same symptoms as that of opioid drugs, but there has been no recorded events of
the patient suffering from symptoms of addiction. It is also known as the only opioid related, anti diarrhea medication. This is the only recorded diarrhea medication that is composed of opioid
components.
